X-Pol Biotech was founded in May 2008 and focuses its R&D on biotechnology applications of polymerases. The company was founded upon the polymerase biology expertise of Professor Luis Blanco and Genetrix SL's experience in creating and managing biotech companies. Professor Margarita Salas joined the company in December 2008 as a shareholder and scientific advisor.
